Parent Involment Committee Meeting, Nov 30th

Attached is the agenda for the Parent Involvement Committee Meeting on Thursday, November 30 at7:00 PM in the Banquet Room at the Milton Sports Complex on Derry Road.  I think Jacki Oxley, School & Community Liaison for the Halton District School Board, is hoping for at least one representative from every school community.

For your interest, I have also attached Report 01108, the Report of the “School Council Steering Committee” from 2001.   At that time, a small group of parents met regularly over the course of a month to ”examine the needs of School Councils and to consider the potential of a regional ‘Umbrella Group’ structure for School Councils in Halton” (see the appendix).

The recommendations of this report could probably be considered a work in progress.  Most if not all of the ideas are still valid, and with the appropriate commitment from the board would very much benefit our community.
