Just a reminder to forward your NEW executive  contact information and your verified financial statements to both Halton Council (in this case, me) and the OFHSA office ASAP.

Sunningdale and Parents

I had the opportunity tonight, to speak to the School Council at Sunndingdale P.S.  about OFHSA and Home and School’s in general. 

I LOVE speaking with parents for a number of reasons.  To begin with I truly believe in what Home and School stands for.  I am also amazed time and time again how many parents VOLUNTEER at their child’s school.  Whether it’s fund raising, fighting for issues, or helping facilitate information to other parents… we all benefit from countless volunteer hours.

I, of course, feel parents need a voice at the school/board and Provincial Level like the one Home and School offers us.  We are a distinct group from school councils – with a different mandate  (much to the surprise of most School Councils) YET… seeing literally a room full of parents and administrators  at the beginning of June,  coming together and investigating what might be the best option for their students can only make one feel great.
